Who publishes this, and how
GTA7 News is an independent site about one public company's trademark conduct. It exists because the publisher was on the receiving end of it, wrote a book about it, and kept reading the docket after the case closed.
Ownership
Published by BrockStar Media Corp, a North Carolina corporation in Rocky Mount, founded by Carl B. Brock. BrockStar Media Corp was the applicant in TTAB Opposition No. 91295390 and is the author's company. It sells the book this site promotes. It has no other financial relationship with any party named here and holds no position in Take-Two stock.
Independence and the name
This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., Rockstar Games, or any of their subsidiaries. GRAND THEFT AUTO, GTA and ROCKSTAR GAMES are trademarks of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. The domain name refers to the subject of the coverage; the site reports on and comments about those companies and does not sell games, game merchandise or anything bearing their marks. The publisher is a lifelong fan of the games.
Standards
- Every factual claim is sourced to a public record linked on the page: TTABVUE, TSDR, SEC EDGAR, or an exhibit reproduced in the book.
- Opinion is labeled. Pieces marked Opinion are the author's views and say so at the top.
- Corrections are published at the top of the page they correct, dated, with the original wording preserved. Send them to [email protected].
- Right of reply. Any person or company named on this site may respond; responses are published in full and linked from the page they answer.
- No tracking. This site runs no analytics scripts, no advertising, and no cookies of its own.
